对于苹果来说，他们一直在推进AR设备，而库克也曾多次表示，苹果会加码AR领域。

据外媒报道称，最近披露的关于苹果AR头显的一项专利显示，苹果正在研究如何在现实世界中操纵虚拟控件，未来苹果AR头显的佩戴者能将任何表面都显示为触控屏，可以进行一些基础的操作。

在专利中，苹果解决了一个问题，即佩戴苹果AR头显的人如何与他们所看的虚拟/现实混合环境进行互动。当使用iPhone或iPad作为AR取景器时，用户通常会点击屏幕，与屏幕上显示的物体进行互动。但当佩戴AR头显时，同样的任务会很麻烦。之前尝试直接与AR环境进行交互，需要额外的硬件，比如手套或手指传感器。同时，试图通过视觉检测手指与表面的接触也不够准确。

苹果的想法是，可以通过使用红外热感应来检测用户何时触摸现实世界的物体，这个方法可以让苹果眼镜在视觉上将控件投射到现实世界的物体上，并在用户触摸这些物体时，通过感知触摸物体时的热传导来做出反应。
