据国资委网站，安装在广州抽水蓄能电站7号机组的我国首套300兆瓦抽蓄机组“芯片级”自主可控励磁系统和调速器系统目前已安全稳定运行30天。
南方电网表示，这标志着南方电网公司在抽水蓄能成套控制系统设备国产化的关键技术研究应用上取得了重大突破，成功推进抽水蓄能行业“全国产化”由主机设备向控制系统延伸，有力增强我国抽水蓄能产业链供应链的竞争力和安全性。
抽水蓄能电站中的励磁系统和调速器系统，均属抽水蓄能机组的核心控制系统，分别承担着电压和无功功率、转速和有功功率的调节任务，直接影响机组发电的可靠性和电网运行的稳定性。
此前，南网储能公司2021年2月启动了抽水蓄能成套控制系统设备“芯片级”自主可控的技术攻关，先行先试研究应用国产芯片的励磁、调速控制设备，内容涵盖选型、设计、生产、验收、安装及调试等各个环节。
截至2022年底，我国抽水蓄能在运总装机容量达到4500万千瓦，稳居世界第一。
