电流调节器是一种调节电路电流的电子设备，电流调节部级线圈之间增加一个活动铁芯作为磁分路分的称呼不同，前者称为电流调节器，以增加电抗。
一、电流调节器的工作原理
电流调节器就是电流调节部级线圈之间增加一个活动铁芯作为磁分路的仪器 ,而增加电抗.铁芯进去,则感抗增大电流后者称为电抗器。工作原理就是给定值为电流设定值,具有电流负反馈的PID调节器。其功能是控制电流值,以满足系统要求。
二、电流调节器的作用
（1）跟随作用－－作为内环的调节器，在外环转速的调节过程中，它的作用是使电流紧紧跟随其给定电压（即外环调节器的输出量）变化。
（2）抗扰作用－－对电网电压的波动起及时抗扰的作用。
（3）加快动态过程－－在转速动态过程中，保证获得电机允许的最大电流，从而加快动态过程。
（4）过流自动保护作用－－当电机过载甚至堵转时，限制电枢电流的最大值，起快速的自动保护作用。一旦故障消失，系统立即自动恢复正常。这个作用对系统的可靠运行来说是十分重要的。
