台积电首爆4纳米制程开发计划！

台积电(TSMC)日前在新竹举行年度股东大会中，首度透露在其5纳米(N4)与3纳米制程之间，将会有4纳米制程(N4)的开发。


“N4会是N5的演进，”台积电董事长刘德音(Mark Liu)

身为全球晶圆代工产业龙头的台积电，逐渐拉大了与三星(Samsung)之间的距离；目前三星是台积电在次7纳米制程的唯一竞争对手。根据业界消息，三星可能会在2022年开始量产3纳米制程，该公司已经投资了1,160亿美元在首尔南方的平泽市(Pyeongtaek)兴建5纳米晶圆厂，积极与台积电争夺在全球晶圆代工市场的市占率。

台积电的N5制程已经量产，随后将会是N5P与N4。刘德音表示，该公司将在2022年推出N5P，然后2023年推出N4。不过台积电婉拒透露N4制程细节，并称此讯息是在该公司还未准备好官方新闻稿讯息前就先泄露。
