据第三方调研机构Canalys的数据显示， 受到疫情全球大流行的持续影响，第二季度全球智能手机市场暴跌14%，跌至2.85亿部，连续第二个季度出现下降。苹果是唯一增长的供应商。
随着华为推翻三星，市场份额和领导地位也发生了变化，华为的出货量为5580万台，而三星在2020年第二季度为5370万台。苹果出货量为4510万台，与去年相比增长了25％，排在第三。小米排在第四位，出货量为2880万台，下降了10％，OPPO从vivo夺回第五位，出货量为2580万台，下降了16％。
Canalys分析师认为，苹果第二季度的增长主要是推出新iPhone SE获得成功，约占其全球销量的28％，而iPhone 11仍然是最畅销的产品，占近40％，居家隔离，线上生活大行其道。
分析师指出，疫情大流行可能会成为常态，未来供应商需要在短时间内改变渠道重点，以适应第二波爆发。政府虽然采取了非常规的刺激计划来支撑其经济。但真正的考验将在未来几个月，因为刺激资金逐渐减少，休假计划也撤回了。
