SK海力士：晶圆代工8吋厂产能或翻倍，不排除并购

近日，韩国内存大厂SK海力士表态，将抢攻晶圆代工市场，考虑靠扩产或并购，让8吋晶圆代工厂的产能翻倍。


据韩联社、BusinessKorea报道，SK海力士副会长Park Jung-ho 13日表示，打算让8吋晶圆代工厂的产能提高一倍，方法是扩大韩国厂产能或是进行并购，SK海力士是存储器大厂，非存储器部门和晶圆代工业务，目前只占该公司总营收的2%。


SK海力士说，会先投资8吋厂，解决全球芯片荒，并要协助韩国IC设计厂扩大海外市场。上周韩国政府宣布，2030年前要提供510兆韩元(4,530亿美元)的税务优惠和补助，协助企业发展半导体供应链。


目前SK海力士的晶圆代工业务，主要由旗下企业SK Hynix System IC负责，SK Hynix System IC在中国无锡设有晶圆代工厂，主要生产8吋CMOS图像传感器(CIS)以及电源管理芯片。另外，该公司的韩国清州(Cheongju)厂，仍有空间能安放新的晶圆代工设备。

业界人士说，SK海力士可能很快会宣布并购，强化该公司在非存储器市场的地位。


今年3月升任SK海力士副会长的Park，是SK集团知名的并购专家。他参与了SK海力士的多起大型收购案，包括2017年花费4兆韩元投资日厂铠侠(Kioxia)、2020年斥资90亿美元并购英特尔(Intel)的NAND业务。


除此之外，SK海力士还有意在韩国龙仁(Yongin)的半导体聚落，增建四家新晶圆厂。增建的第一家工厂将在2024年开工，最快2025年量产。
