全球知名半导体制造商ROHM Co., Ltd.（以下简称“罗姆”）宣布与Solar Frontier Co., Ltd.就收购该公司原国富工厂资产事宜达成基本协议。
此次收购计划于2023年10月完成，此后国富工厂将成为罗姆集团的主要生产基地。在实现无碳社会的过程中，罗姆的主要产品——半导体所发挥的作用越来越大。
尤其是在汽车和工业设备市场，为了减轻环境负荷并实现碳中和目标，围绕电动化的技术创新日新月异，市场对功率半导体和模拟半导体的需求也日益高涨。预计半导体市场将会进一步扩大，为了满足市场需求，罗姆集团计划以SiC功率半导体为中心继续扩大产能，以确保对客户的稳定供应。
