　　液环压缩机的原理，叶轮偏心地配置在气缸内，并在气缸内引进一定量的水或其他液体。叶轮（转子）旋转且达到一定转速时，由于离心力的作用，液体被甩出，形成一个贴在气缸内表面的液环。叶轮表面与液环之间形成一个月牙腔，它是若干容积不等的小室（基元容积）。每个小室的容积随叶轮的转动周期性地扩大和缩小。在气缸两侧的端盖上相应地开设有吸、排气口。这样，叶轮旋转一周，就能在每一基元容积内实现吸气、压缩、排气和可能存在的膨胀过程。气体排出会带出一部分液体，所以必须在吸气口补充一定量的新液体。

　　液环压缩机工作时，叶片搅动液体而造成的能量损失很大,几乎等于压缩气体所耗的功。因此,液环压缩机的效率很低。一般真空泵消耗的功率较小，所以液环压缩机常作为真空泵使用。为了避免液力损失过大，一般工作轮外缘最大圆周速度限制在14～16米/秒以内，并尽可能选用粘度较小的液体。

　　二、液环压缩机的优缺点

　　1.气体和液体可以混合输送。吸入的气体中携带的部分液体对压缩机的正常运行不会产生不良影响；

　　2.气体进出口管线配置简单，便于操作管理；

　　3.在封液温度得到适当控制的情况下，被处理气体在抽吸和压缩排放过程中温升小，排气温度低，无需增设复杂的气体冷却系统；

　　4.液环压缩机结构简单，只有一个旋转部件，无金属接触，故障少，维修方便；

　　5.由于此种压缩机高速旋转连续抽吸压缩气体，其出口压力及流量不会产生明显波动；

　　6.液环压缩机尤其适合处理高温下易于分解的气体、易燃易爆气体、不含固体颗粒及不溶或微溶于封液的气体以及腐蚀性气体等。
